1. Acceptance of These Terms

By creating an account, downloading the app, or using the Readly website, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not access or use the service.

2. What Readly Provides

Readly helps you translate text while browsing websites or reading EPUB books, build vocabulary lists, bookmark reading sources, and track learning progress. We integrate Google Cloud Translation API to process translations.

Free access includes:

• 30 translations per day
• Phrase translations (6 words per phrase)
• Read websites and all books in the app
• View reading stats

Premium benefits highlighted in-app include:

• Unlimited translations
• Phrase translations (12 words per phrase)
• Upload your own EPUB books
• Multiple-choice vocabulary practice

3. Eligibility & Accounts

• You must be at least 15 years old (or the minimum age required by your country) to use Readly. The App Store age rating for Readly is 15+.
• You agree to provide accurate account information and keep your login credentials secure.
• Sign-in may occur through Google OAuth or email/OTP verification. Safeguard any codes sent to you.
• You are responsible for activities under your account. Notify us immediately of suspicious use.

4. Acceptable Use & Security

To protect the Readly community and infrastructure, you agree not to:

• Launch or support DDoS attacks, network stress tests, port scanning, or any attempt to disrupt service availability.
• Automate interactions (bots, scraping, bulk requests) that bypass rate limits, authentication, or normal user flows.
• Probe, exploit, or publicly disclose vulnerabilities, including attempts to access other users' accounts or data.
• Reverse engineer or tamper with the app, browser extension, or APIs to circumvent security or usage limits.
• Upload or transmit malware, harmful code, or content that interferes with device or network operations.
• Misuse translation or reading features for illegal activity, abusive behavior, or intellectual property violations.

We may suspend or deactivate accounts, remove content, or block access (with or without notice) when we detect abusive, automated, or security-threatening behavior.

5. Subscriptions & Payments

• Readly offers free access with up to 30 translations per day plus Premium plans. Pricing is shown in-app or on the website.
• Payment will be charged to your iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
• You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal by going to your Account Settings after purchase.

6. Your Content & Data

• You own the vocabulary entries, bookmarks, and profile content you create.
• You grant Readly a limited license to process that content to operate features like translation, review stats, and sync.
• Do not upload content you do not have rights to share.

7. Third-Party Services

Translations are processed through Google Cloud Translation API. External links (e.g., X, Telegram, Instagram, bookmarked sites) are outside our control. Use them at your own risk and follow their terms.

8. Availability & Changes

• We aim for reliable uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
• Features may change, and we may update these terms. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised terms.

9. Termination

You may stop using Readly at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms, suspected fraud, security risks, non-payment, or where required by law.

10. Disclaimers & Liability

• Readly is provided "as is" without warranties of accuracy, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
• To the maximum extent permitted by law, Readly is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
